WALMOND PISTACHIO BUTTER FRUITY RAISIN BITES

I love pistachios but never tried pistachio butter until now. It’s exactly what you would imagine - smooth, creamy, potent pistachio flavor. Nice color. The taste was nutty, earthy, and natural with a spreadable consistency. The jar was a solid, heavy glass which I also appreciate.

Just like any nut butter, it’s very versatile. I’m eager to try it on toast with a drizzle of chocolate.

This is a pistachio butter, the brand name is Walmond, reading the brand name confuses my brain into thinking its an almond-pistachio butter. This is just a funny aside that I had to add into my review, not that it makes any difference in the product. The jar is sealed well for freshness. The oils did separate a little, but nothing a little stirring couldn't fix. The consistency is a bit more runny than say peanut butter, and it does have a little grainy-ness to it. It has virtually no sugar, which I really appreciate, as I can add my own sweetener to it as needed. The flavor is nutty and earthy. There are golden raisins spread throughout, but not many, so sometimes you get a bite of sweetness. It is pretty versatile, I spread this on toast, inside of dates and topped with chocolate for the viral candy bar recipe, and ate it directly from the spoon. I understand that pistachio products are pretty expensive, but the price of this makes me think this must be a luxury item. Is it? I don't know because I'm not a pistachio butter economics afficionado. This is imported, so I'm guessing that might have something to do with the price.

Very nice quality and the sweetness feels natural. It was slightly sweeter than my usual preference, but that’s just personal taste. Overall, I’d recommend it.

This pistachio butter is the real thing, literally a nut butter without added junk. It’s obviously a bit higher in fat since it’s mostly nuts, but this is healthy fat and good for you nuts. This is rich in flavor and great on toast, rice cakes, or as added health boosts in a smoothie.

I was surprised that it was not overly sweet. It has a nice pistachio aroma with a nutty taste to it. Went well with toast and spread over chocolate wafers. I also used it to bled into shakes and it has worked well it. It is a bit expensive but anything pistachio is always expensive.

There's only 3 g of sugar per serving which is a far cry from other 'pistachio spread' I've tried in the past. The 2nd ingredient on this is raisins which is what gives the 'sweetness'. I would use this more in place of unsweetened peanut butter.

The flavor of the pistachios is front and center with it's earthy nuttiness.

To my sugar addicted tongue, there is barley any sweetness. There is a hint of 'fruitiness' in the background.

I would not call this smooth; there is a grittiness from the raisins.

The color is an appetizing and natural olive-ish green. There are no artificial colors to give it any unnatural vibrancy.

If you're looking for a different nut spread, this is a fine choice.

Personally, I'm not sure how I would use this, I feel this is waaaay too expensive to make a pistachio butter and jelly sandwich. But then again, I don't usually purchase expensive other nut butter spreads. I don't make smoothies, but since this is a nut butter I'm sure it would be a great addition. Come to think of it, I really don't use peanut butter much either. Maybe I can make shortbread type cookies to showcase the rich pistachio flavor.

Nice nutty flavor for coffee.

My main reason for ordering this was because I wanted to make sort of a Dubai chocolate iced coffee but needed some pistachio sauce. I saw other people said this had a slight sweetness to it so thought it would be perfect to add to my drink.

This is pretty good on its own but I don’t really taste any out of the ordinary sweetness. To me this tastes just like other regular pistachio sauces. It still has that same texture as regular pistachio sauces with that same fine grit as expected. It’s smells and tastes nutty which worked well for my coffee. I don’t think I’d personally ally just eat this on its own as it’s not sweet enough for my liking but I will definitely continue to use it in my coffees. It’s creamy and melts in nicely with some espresso. It’s also a large jar which I wasn’t expecting honestly.

Bottom line: worth the try

Top notch quality. Using wild Afghan pistachios gives it a much deeper, more "real" nut flavor compared to the mass-produced versions you often find. It’s stone-ground, so the texture is incredibly velvety but still feels artisanal. I love that it has absolutely no added sugar or palm oil, the sweetness comes entirely from the golden raisins, which is a genius touch. That "Fruity" profile is what sets this apart. The golden raisins provide a natural, subtle sweetness that balances the earthy, savory notes of the pistachio.
My nieces love this on sliced apples or swirled into their morning oatmeal, I like it on toast (particularly with a touch of salt!). Pistachios are notoriously expensive, and "wild" varieties even more so. While this is definitely a premium product at a higher price point than peanut butter, the 16oz jar is a generous size for a specialty nut butter. My husband was quite surprised to learn that this product comes from Afghanistan! The flavor is incredibly natural and truly captures the essence of nutty pistachio—definitely made from high-quality pistachios. It has a very nice, smooth texture, which is my absolute favorite. It came in a large jar, and I feel like it would last me a long time. It has a very light, sweet aftertaste that I don’t even notice because it has zero sugar added. This pistachio butter is, simply put, delicious. It has a rich, earthy flavor with bursts of sweetness from the dried raisins. It mixes smooth, and because it is in the fridge it never feels oily (like organic peanut butter, for example).

While it is much more expensive than other nut butters, it is worth the price. I use it in place of peanut butter (with chocolate, with fruit, on toast) whenever im craving something a little different, and I haven't had a bad pairing yet.

This pistachio butter is the real deal! Simple ingredients that can all be pronounced, minimal added sugars and authentic pistachio taste. I enjoy this as a spread on my waffles and it helps with satiety so I don’t feel hungry again soon after like I normally would if I had ate the same food without it. I appreciate how healthy it feels to eat and if you’re looking to make some pistachio treats, what’s better than grinded up wild pistachios?! It does say to refrigerate after opening which I did and as with all nut butters, sometimes the oil will separate and be at the top. Simply stir it all together and it’s ready to go! The price is a bit steep but for the quality, can’t be beat. Highly recommend especially when on sale!
